UGM 17th Customer Advisory Board Meeting: Charting the Future with the Theme “Customs and Foreign Trade Practices”
Ünsped Customs Consultancy (UGM), one of Turkey's leading customs consultancy companies, held its 17th Customer Advisory Board Meeting on November 5, 2025, at the InterContinental Hotel in Istanbul, with the aim of reinforcing its customer-focused service approach and shedding light on the future of the sector.
This annual event reflects UGM's “customer satisfaction-oriented, continuous improvement-focused management approach.” This year's meeting brought together industry professionals, academics, and public representatives under the theme of “Customs and Foreign Trade Practices.”
Leading Experts Assessed the Economy and Foreign Trade Agenda.
The opening remarks of the meeting were delivered by Mr. Haluk Ündeğer, Founding President of UGM, and Mr. Yusuf Bulut Öztürk, Company Shareholder. The program was then enriched by the contributions of distinguished guest speakers.
Professor Erhan Aslanoğlu, Faculty Member at Bilgi University, and Ali Ağaoğlu, Financial Advisor and Economist, shared their insights on current economic developments and future projections with participants in a session titled “The Agenda and Future of the World and Turkish Economies.” This session, which drew significant interest from participants, featured a comprehensive assessment of global economic dynamics and the future of foreign trade policies.
The event was also attended by former European Union Minister of Türkiye, Egemen Bağış as a guest speaker, who made important assessments on Türkiye-European Union relations and the future of foreign trade.
Strategist Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kasım Han, meanwhile, delivered an informative presentation at the meeting, offering insightful analyses on the historical development of foreign trade, current practices, and strategic approaches for the future.
UGM expressed gratitude to the distinguished speakers for their contributions and presented them with corporate commemorative gifts.
Workshops Elevated Knowledge Sharing and Interaction to a Higher Level
As part of the 17th Customer Advisory Board Meeting, three different workshop sessions were held with the active participation of attendees:
• Cost-Reducing Practices in Foreign Trade
• Technical Regulations and TAREKS Procedures
• Inward Processing Authorization (IPA) & Investment Incentives
These interactive sessions addressed ideas for increasing efficiency in foreign trade processes, evaluating current regulatory changes, and improving customer experience. Participants' contributions helped advance UGM's vision of continuously improving service quality.
