Türkiye–sweden Investment Partnership And New Trade Risks Were On The Agenda Of Ugm

On Friday, February 13, 2026, we held our meeting titled “Opportunities and Risks in the New Trade Framework” at our Ünsped Customs Consultancy Mahmutbey Headquarters with high attendance.

The program, which began with a breakfast buffet, was moderated by our Regional Sales Manager, Ms. Betsy BAHAR. Our UGM General Manager, Mr. Halil İbrahim PİŞKİN, and the President of the Turkish-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mustafa Münir ALACA, delivered the opening speeches. The speeches addressed the development of trade relations between Türkiye and Sweden and the changing balances in global trade.

Next, Mr. M. Selim ANCIN, Foreign Unit Analyst at the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, shared current data and future expectations regarding the Sweden-Türkiye investment partnership. Our company partner, Mr. Yusuf Bulut ÖZTÜRK, also participated in the meeting, while our UGM Deputy General Manager, Dr. Faruk ŞEN, gave a presentation titled “New Risks and Costs in Global Trade,” in which he evaluated US customs duties, the EU's new generation of free trade agreements, supply chain disruptions, and rising trade costs.

Our meeting, which concluded with a Q&A session and closing remarks, provided participants with the opportunity to address the opportunities and risks emerging within the new trade framework in a multi-dimensional manner.
